Dear Friends,
Today was the last class of the Homework Club of this year. We will have a short break for the holidays. It will resume on the 7th of January, with Friendly Homework. You will find new homework sheets available for download in 10 days, on the 28th of December.
By then, you can enjoy Renier’s camp. He will begin next Friday, on the 27th of December and will talk about the challenges of Converting an Advantage and how to overcome them. To get you ready for the classes, he has prepared a short guide that is available on the camp’s page. You can access it by going to the camp’s page from the Exclusive section of the website or by clicking here.
If you bought a yearly membership or renewed after our last camp in October, you should’ve already received this camp as a gift. If you can access the page above, it means you will be able to access the live classes starting from the 27th. If you think you should have access to the camp, but can’t open the link above, please send us an email ASAP so we can look into it.
Everyone else who wants to attend the camp will need to buy their participation ticket here. Or become a yearly member and get this camp as a gift here.
This Saturday Sabino will give the last Playing Position simul of this year. To join the simul, you need to first be a member of our team on lichess. Make sure you mention your full name and membership email when you apply for the team. Otherwise, we will not accept your request. About 10 minutes before the simul, the schedule on the website will be updated with the simul’s link. You will also receive a message on lichess with the link to join the simul. Please be on time! You can’t join the simul after Sabino has started.
Another change in the schedule – GM Vladimir Akopian will have his class on Saturday this week instead of Sunday, from the usual 4 AM UK time.
Mykhaylo will not have a class this week, as he is playing in the Ukrainian Championship. 5 rounds have been played so far and he is on 4.5 points. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for him for the second half of the tournament!
Many members are in Sitges, taking part in the festival. We hope everyone will receive a nice Christmas present and end the year on a positive note!
