Dear Friends,
We have a busy week ahead in the Academy. Karthik is back with two Game of the Week classes, one tomorrow and one on Saturday.
Jacob just got back home and will give three classes this week – two Practical Training classes on Wednesday and Thursday and Advanced Calculation III on Sunday, at the usual time.
Swayams is still playing in Qatar, but he will be back this Thursday with the Theoretical Endgames course.
Julen is back from Llobregat and will see you on Thursday, at the usual time, to Analyse Your Tournament.
There are two more weeks left until the Christmas camp! Renier has prepared a short guide for those of you who will attend his camp. You will find the pdf file on the camp’s page later this week.
If you are a new yearly member or renewed your membership after our last camp, you will receive Renier’s camp for free. Raluca will add the camp manually to your account this week and you will get notified about it.
Everyone else who wants to attend the camp will need to buy their participation ticket here. Or become a yearly member and get this camp as a gift here.
Lots of members (and one trainer 😊 ) were playing in the Llobregat Open and we couldn’t be happier to see a member of the Academy winning it! GM Yahli Sokolovsky is the 2024 champion! He finished clear first with 8/10, bringing home not only a nice prize, but also 19 rating points. Congratulations, Yahli!
More awesome news from the Italian Championship. Sabino is the new Italian vice-champion and we couldn’t be happier for him! Big congratulations to him and we hope to see him winning it next year!
Renier scored 7/9 in Benidorm Open to finish on the 4th place, tied for 1st. We are happy to report that none of the KCT squad members lost rating and hopefully everyone had a great time.
Fingers crossed for everyone who is still playing in Qatar Masters and everyone who will start playing in Sitges this Thursday!
What have you been playing? We want to know! Let us know on the forum or on social media!
