CAMP GM Julen Arizmendi Decision Making in the Middlegame 2

Decision-Making in the Middlegame

Schedule: March 26-29, 17:00-20:30 UK time (10:00-13:30 California, 13:00-16:30 New York, 18:00-21:30 CET)

ATTENTION: Europe will switch to the Daylight Saving time on the 29th of March! US timings for the 29th of March will be: 09:00-12:30 California, 12:00-15:30 New York

In this camp, you will have the opportunity to work on identifying various types of positions and searching for suitable candidate moves.
However, the main focus will be on improving your decision-making process over the board. To this end, Julen will tackle four typical yet tricky scenarios that arise in almost every game. The goal is to make good decisions more consistently in these situations.

The themes are:

– Preparing more vs striking.

– Automatic positional moves vs strategic opportunities.

– Passive play vs Prophylaxis.

– Demands of the position vs Style.

The camp will take place early evenings 26-29 March, with 3 one hour lessons and two breaks of 15 minutes in-between each day. It will offer you a full 12 hours of training.
