When I wrote Reimagining 1.e4, the goal was simple: ambitious opening choices without drowning in unnecessary theory.

The approach was praised by players and reviewers alike. Anish Giri called the lines “poisonous, yet clean” and even admitted he was happy to “steal” one of my ideas for his own repertoire. John Watson described the recommendations as “fascinating, practical, and often ingenious,” while Matthew Sadler called the book “really impressive.”

But opening theory moves fast.

In this camp, I’ll present the new ideas, improvements and practical weapons I’m developing for the new edition of Reimagining 1.e4.

The philosophy stays the same:

Maximum practical pressure. Minimum unnecessary memorization.

New approaches. New weapons. The next version of Reimagining 1.e4.

We will look at positions where I now believe there is a better way: ideas that are fresher, easier to handle, more uncomfortable for Black, or simply more suitable for modern tournament chess.

You will learn not only what to play, but which positions matter, what needs to be memorized, what can be understood, and how to continue when your opponent leaves your preparation.
