We hope that you enjoyed and learned a lot this past weekend with Nikos, during his French Defense Middlegames camp. The file with the games he used during his sessions will be made available for the yearly members who took part in the camp on Chesstempo. Nikos is still polishing the file and will send it towards the end of this week.
Unfortunately, Jacob had to cancel his High Level Practical Training class that was scheduled for tomorrow, the 30th of September. We apologise for the inconvenience and invite you to join him on Thursday, the 2nd of October, at the usual time.
Due to some technical issues, GM Akopian was unable to have his Practical Rook Endgames class as scheduled this past weekend. We have rescheduled his class for Saturday, the 4th of October, from 6 PM UK time. Throughout October, all his classes will happen on Saturday evening instead of Sunday mornings, UK time.
The European Team Championship will start this weekend in Batumi, Georgia. A few members and coaches will be there and we have slightly modified our schedule to adapt to the new time zone. GM Mykhaylo Oleksiyenko will have his next two classes (on the 3rd and 10th of October) from 8 PM UK time instead of the usual 4 PM.
Our next online camp will be with GM Swayams, on Defensive Mastery. The camp will happen between the 6th and the 9th of November and will include a total of 12 hours. The recordings of the camp will be made available to everyone who will buy the camp of receive it as a welcome gift.
New yearly members and renewals between the 25th of September and the 6th of November will receive this camp for free, as a welcome gift. Everyone else who wants to participate can purchase the camp in our shop. If you are a member, remember to log in to your account to get the camp at a discounted price!

We will have an in-person camp again in 2026. The dates are 17-24 of May, in the 4* resort Zoraida Garden in Roquetas de Mar, Spain. Your trainers will be GM Jacob Aagaard, GM Renier Castellanos and GM Julen Arizmendi. The camp will be open to both members and non-members of the academy. More information, as well the sign-up form will very soon be available on our website.
Grupo de Xadrez Alekhine is organizing a 10 player round robin tournament for IM norms in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 27th of October to the 2nd of November.
They are searching for potential IM norm seekers with +2300 ELO.

Miguel finished 3rd in the XII Festival Juan Martinez Sola 2025 Sub-2400 and, after his nice rating climb in the last two tournaments, he is back over 2100!
