The 1st Heat of the 2026 Club Championship is in the books. The winner is your favourite coach, GM Jacob Aagaard. As a thank you for letting him win this one, he will give two Practical Training classes this week. The first one – on Wednesday, 11th of February and the second one on Friday, the 13th.
The 2nd Heat will be played on Sunday the 15th from 5 PM UK time. A quick reminder that, in order to participate, you need to be in this team. Please send your request with time and remember to mention your name and membership email in it. Then, you will be able to join the tournament, here.
The number of registrations are growing for our in-person camp. We now have 25 registered and 13 confirmed participants. Remember that this is the last week to join the camp and get advantage of the early-bird gift!
The training will take place in the 4* resort Zoraida Garden in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, between the 17th and the 24th of May. Your trainers will be GM Jacob Aagaard, GM Renier Castellanos and GM Julen Arizmendi. GM and former Women’s World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk will be our special guest this edition. She will give a masterclass, a simul and play friendly blitz games with participants.
On the 23rd of May there will be a FIDE rated rapid or blitz tournament with prizes. We will announce all details as soon as we will have them.

Participants who will register and pay the camp fee before the 15th of February 2026 will receive a gift consisting of 6 books. Four of them will be available to choose from a list. The other two will be with free choice.

You have probably already seen the news everywhere on social media – Arshiya has been crushing it in Europe! In her last tournament, she achieved her last WIM norm and, with it, the title. This is the least of her achievements, though. She also scored a WGM norm and got the FM title! Her live rating is close to 2375.
