Nikos’ camp on the French Defense Middlegames will start this Thursday, the 25th of September. You can still sign up for the camp by purchasing it in the shop until Friday. Our next online camp will happen in November and will be held by GM Swayams. He will talk about the art of defense. The camp will happen between the 6th and the 9th of November and will include a total of 12 hours. The recordings of the camp will be made available to everyone who will buy the camp of receive it as a welcome gift.
New yearly members and renewals between the 25th of September and the 6th of November will receive this camp for free, as a welcome gift. We will have an in-person camp again in 2026. The dates are 17-24 of May, in the 4* resort Zoraida Garden in Roquetas de Mar, Spain. Your trainers will be GM Jacob Aagaard, GM Renier Castellanos and GM Julen Arizmendi. The camp will be open to both members and non-members of the academy. More information, as well the sign-up form will very soon be available on our website.
Grupo de Xadrez Alekhine is organizing a 10 player round robin tournament for IM norms in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 27th of October to the 2nd of November.
They are searching for potential IM norm seekers with +2300 ELO.

Long-time member Ajay Santosh Parvathareddy has recently completed his final IM norm at the Rudar XXII Round Robin in Serbia. With only 15 years, he is currently rated 2482. Helen Milligan finished 3rd in the Seniors’ Open Chess Championship that took place during the Malaysian Chess Festival. Congratulations, Helen!
Sabino has been on a roll. He finished 2nd in Trieste. On the 14th he played a rapid tournament in Monselice. He qualified for the final, which he won 1.5-0.5. Last weekend he played and won another rapid tournament with 8/9 in Aglie.
Tarun and Trisha Kanyamarala are in Sweden, playing a norm round robin. Trisha is playing in the IM norm-seekers section, Tarun in the GM section .
