UK’s Online Safety Act 2023
Dear Friends,
In the five years we have been running the academy, we have never had any issues with disrespectful behavior or the sharing of illegal content. However, despite our excellent track record, in accordance with the UK’s Online Safety Act 2023, we will be implementing an age verification check on our website, among other safety measures, since we have an online forum.
This law is meant to make the internet safer for young users, and we have many young talents among you! While it is clearly meant for bigger platforms, the small websites are taking the big hit in the meantime.
For that reason, the forum will be deactivated tomorrow, Sunday the 16th of March, until we are certain we are in full compliance with the new regulations. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to help. We really appreciate your understanding as we comply with these new regulations.
We take everyone’s safety seriously and we will do our best to bring the forum back the soonest possible.
In the meantime, classes go on as usual! And don’t forget to submit your homework!
