Dear friends,

Sam is playing in Prague Masters, half a point behind the leaders at the moment and Alexander is playing in Prague Challengers.

Karthik is participating in NRW Sportland Cup.

Ryan and Dalton are playing in the Philadelphia Open.

Our Irish Champions, Tarun and Trisha, have finished their exams and will be playing in a lot of tournaments, as they told us on the forum! British Championship, Irish Championship, Euro Club Cup (Looking for a club), World Juniors, and Euro Teams are their tournament lineup. Oh, and Trisha is now higher rated than Tarun!

Angelika on her 5th-day post-surgery won the 1st women’s prize in Baden-Württemberg Rapid Championship and Jonas was second in the Open section!

Helen finished third in the ASEAN plus a few – not all Asia! Senior Championship with 7.5/9 and gained 18 rating points and she also bagged the gold for the women’s section!

GM Julen Arizmendi’s course “Analyse my Tournament” is a great chance for players to receive expert analysis and feedback on their games. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and share their games with GM Arizmendi. Use the forum to get in touch!

Speaking of camps, we will organize two online camps focused on chess strategy in July and August.
FOUNDATIONS OF POSITIONAL PLAY with GM Jacob Aagaard, July 10th to Friday, July 14th with three hours of daily coaching. It will be aimed at u2100 players, but everyone who feels they need to work on the basics will be welcome.
AN INVESTIGATION OF CHESS STRATEGY by GM Sam Shankland. This camp will be held from 31st August to 3rd September. Sam will explain the foundations of chess strategy over 4 sessions of three hours each.
As a summer present from us to all current yearly members, the camp in July will be free for all of you to participate live or to watch at your convenience! Read more here.
